Régiscène,

founded by Jean-Louis Dagorno, also known as “Le DAG.”

Founded in 1976 in Lesconil, Brittany, by Jean-Louis and Agnès Dagorno, in collaboration with Chantale and Jean-Jacques Perroy, Régiscène has established itself as one of the most innovative and influential companies in the field of sound, lighting, and live performance logistics in Europe.

A Pioneering Adventure in Live Performance

Over more than 25 years of operation, Régiscène has distinguished itself through its ability to constantly innovate. The company has expanded its services to include the importation of major brands, equipment for venues, radio stations, and television stations, as well as a transportation company to support all of its activities.

Jean-Louis Dagorno has collaborated with a multitude of renowned artists and groups, such as Magma, Bernard Lavilliers, James Brown, Sting, the Gipsy Kings, Johnny Hallyday, Francis Cabrel, Michel Legrand, Ray Charles, and many others. He has also worked with prestigious orchestras such as the Orchestre National de Paris conducted by Daniel Barenboim and the Leipzig Philharmonic.

Technical Innovations and Major Contributions

Régiscène has been at the forefront of numerous technical innovations. For example, in collaboration with engineer Zoltan Fékété, known as "Zoli," the company developed one of the first parametric equalizers, at a time when mixing consoles were limited to basic adjustments.

For Émilie Jolie's show at the Cirque d'Hiver in 1985, Jean-Louis Dagorno invented and manufactured the headset microphone. Jean-Claude Brialy was delighted and recruited him for the Anjou Festival, where he introduced the concept of voice-over-audio to the theater. "Voice-over-audio theater" or "sustained voices" allows for better understanding of outdoor plays while respecting the intentions of directors and actors. This concept was successfully implemented at the Anjou Festival for 19 years and for 42 years in Ramatuelle.

Legacy and Lasting Influence

Jean-Louis Dagorno has also been called upon for major events, such as François Mitterrand's presidential campaigns in 1981 and 1988, the Bastille Day celebrations organized by Jack Lang, and papal visits, notably that of John Paul II.

Today

Although Jean-Louis Dagorno is retired, his influence endures in the world of live performance. He continues to share his thoughts and experiences, particularly during interviews where he expresses his passion for sound and his commitment to technical innovation.
